Great Dane Adoption Society

Can you help by sponsoring one of our dogs?

We have several "sponsor dogs" who have special problems but are happy and content living with our Dog Adoption Officer or special foster families. These dogs cannot be re-homed but they live a full and happy life under the care of G.D.A.S.

Sponsorship is £20 per year and in turn they keep in touch with their sponsor families on a regular basis. Many people buy a sponsorship as a special present for a loved one.

Harley

Harley - Sponsor Dog

Harley came into our care at 18 months old and in appalling condition.

He has Addison’s disease which had never been properly controlled and he was very sick.

After admission to the Royal Vet College Hospital his disease was eventually back under control.

With Daily medication and regular blood tests Harley should be able to lead a normal happy life.

His sponsor families will have the knowledge that this young man is finally getting the medication and treatment he deserves.

To sponsor Harley, you can pay online using your debit or credit card through the trusted payment processor Paypal. Or send us a completed form along with your cheque for £20.

Lucky

Lucky - Sponsor DogLucky was a stray dog who found himself in a pound where he was being kept in most undesireable conditions.

He had kennel cough and a bad chest infection and was emaciated. GDAS had to pay cash for Lucky and another Great Dane in order to secure their safety as the owner of the pound was trying to sell them to the general public.

Once the 6 week long course of antibiotics was finished Lucky still had a problem with his breathing which alerted us to the fact that he also had a heart condition called Dilated Cardio myopathy.

Lucky has daily medication which is very expensive, but it is hoped that this will afford him a number of happy years with his new foster mum.

If ever a dog deserves some luck then that’s our lucky! Your £20 sponsorship would go a long way towards ensuring that lucky has a happy and healthy future.

To sponsor Lucky, you can pay online using your debit or credit card through the trusted payment processor Paypal.  Or send us a completed form along with your cheque for £20.
